Albeno Munari Pinot Noir - Our Pinot Noir is grown on 2.4 acres along the San Domingo Creek, which in 2007 yielded less than 2 tons per acre. We fermented the grapes in harvest bins allowing us to use three different yeasts and gently punch down the fermenting must by hand. The wine was aged in new French oak and neutral barrels for 26 months; and in the tradition of great Burgundies was bottled unfiltered. The resulting wine demonstrates beautiful, rich dark cherry, toast and vanilla notes. Supple tannins and balanced acidity which will help it continue to develop in the bottle, if you can resist drinking it now. 246 cases produced.
